To irrigate their crops during the drought they face, farmers in Cape Verde are waiting for this containerised desalination unit for solar-powered water production. Despite the global economic slowdown, this OSMOSUN has just been shipped (early April 2020). This project, led by the Cape Verdean Rural Socio-Economic Opportunities Programme (POSER) of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, and supported by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), can therefore be commissioned on schedule.
