Mascara presented its OSMOSUN® solar desalination unit based in Abu Dhabi on its booth during the International Water Summit (IWS), part of the Sustainability week of Abu Dhabi.

During that week a meeting and conferences, the performance of the OSMOSUN®40 solar desalination unit, part of the Renewable Energy Desalination Program in Abu Dhabi, was unanimously recognized by the sector. The stand alone desalination unit, working with Reverse Osmosis technology and photovoltaic power, has a specific consumption of 3.1kwh/m³ for water at salinity of 46g/liter. A performance never reached before, and lower than the major companies tested on Masdar’s program.

Mascara’s presence at the IWS has also offered the opportunity to participate in the Annual Meeting of the Global Clean Water Desalination Alliance, and present Mascara’s ongoing projects in several regions of the world during Tech Talks Conference.
