Mascara has installed for the Turkana Basin Institute an equipment to produce 20 m3 of fresh water per day.
This installation implemented in one of the most remote areas of Kenya, at the extreme north of Lake Turkana, near the border with Ethiopia, in Ileret, is completely autonomous, thanks to a dedicated solar power supply, without battery.
The water produced is used for human food and food crops. The crops are grown using hydroponics, for critical production in this remote context where fresh products must be transported over long distances.
